Who Do You Love

On this rainy Monday, Valentine’s Day, I sit pondering Love. Romantic love, self-love, and unconditional Love. I definitely have the first love down–romantic love; in fact, I’ve been very fortunate to attract romantic relationships in my life fairly easily.  Not to say I haven’t kissed many frogs (actually some were more like crocodiles) but the amazing love I have now, in the form of my partner Mark Gurvis, is truly the deepest, most intimate, supportive, loving relationship I have ever had.  We can honestly say that Valentine’s Day is just another day of love and passion for us!

Which brings me to self love. When we truly love, trust, appreciate and honor ourselves, then we can attract those that will help us manifest our deepest desires, whether in intimate or professional relationships. Facebook friend (also a fan of his) Hemal Radia’s blog today really hit home:  when you find yourself, then you find all else. I had to trust myself before I could trust a deep loving connection with my beau. Now, I must trust myself in pursuit of manifesting and living my dreams of singing and songwriting professionally, for a living, fully and powerfully!

In the video below there is a quote: “In love you are singing and attracting all that is a match” by Hemal Radia. I love this quote, as this is the literal path, for me to my happiness and success. Thanks Hemal!

Unconditional love: the most difficult love to master. Forgiveness, acceptance, and letting go of judgment and criticism are the cornerstones. Again, we must begin with practicing those principles with ourselves, moving through fear, self-doubt, and not feeling good enough. And, even when we are feeling down in the dumps, we still take the steps forward to a better feeling place in our bodies, minds, hearts, and souls. That is the ultimate unconditional love for ourselves.

“Love has nothing to do with what you are expecting to get–only with what you are expecting to give–which is everything.” ~Katherine Hepburn

So, today, embrace and celebrate yourself! Sing your love! And if that doesn’t work, get a dog; they ARE unconditional love and can help you practice love by teaching you how to say “I Love You!” (hehe)

Happy Valentine’s Day!
